GATORS CHOMP THE PUPS!!! The GATORS take a BITE out of the Pups! On Thursday we played against Ed Downs Gold Pups and we took the Victory 18-6. We started out with a touchdown on our opening drive. Dylan took it in for the touchdown. Which made it 6-0, then in the second quarter the Ed Downs Gold Team came back and scored and made it 6-6. When Ed Downs Gold kicked off, Hector Becerra our Rec./Cornerback took it from the 2 yard line and ran it all across the field for a 68 yard touchdown kickoff return and made it 12-6. Hector continued to be the super star the whole night with 4 intercepetions. The following touchdown was ran in on an outside sweep by Steven Martinez our Quarterback and made the score 18-6.
The Whole team came together to show TEAMWORK and take the victory. Game ball went to Hector Becerra, Daniel Tapia (Birthday Boy) and Steven Martinez. The line was doing great to keep the defenders off of Steven the whole night.
I talked to the coach of Ed Downs and found out that the boy that got hurt and sent to the hospital during our game did in fact break his leg, the coach said he is in good spirits and was asking him when he could return to the field to play, that boy has Heart, We hope he recovers ok. OUR PARENTS LOOKED GREAT IN OUR NEW GATOR SHIRTS AT OUR ED DOWNS GAME, THANK YOU PARENTS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
